In this article, I’m going to dive into the Carbon Health Checker library a little bit and refer to a simple implementation of the Out Of Memory Health Checker to be used in WSO2 Enterprise Integrator (WSO2 EI).

Why Use Carbon Health Checker?

A health check is a way to validate if an application/node/server is still fine or needs some special attention, which can help keep the environment up and running. For a cluster environment, it’s important to know if the nodes attached to a cluster are live and ready to receive requests. This is where health checkers come in, as they can identify these live nodes and allow devs to control the cluster more effectively by removing failed nodes or keeping the nodes that are working.
