When big companies want to outsource their hardware service calls for customers, they cut deals with the outfit where this IT pilot fish works as a data analyst.
“Many of these service calls were deemed critical customer situations,” says fish.
“One of those panic calls was about a non-functioning router. It was for a customer of a major national department store chain — and the customer was in Death Valley.
“Our nearest tech drove the four hours to the customer location to service the defective router — only to discover it was really a wood router that was also sold by the same company.
“Oops!”
