Apple CEO hits back at FBI request to unlock iPhone, with repetitive, colorful metaphor. But Tim Cook’s claims still don’t make sense — unless he knows something we don’t.

He says that writing custom firmware to unlock one iPhone would allow law enforcement to unlock any iPhone. But that can’t be right, otherwise jailbreakers would be having a field day.
