Apple has announced the creation of Europe’s first iOS App Development Center in Italy. This new initiative will provide students with training and skill development covering the creation and deployment of apps for the iPhone and iPad. This new center will be located at a partner institution in Naples and will see Apple work with other parties across Italy who deliver development training to complement its own curriculum.

Apple CEO Tim Cook commented on the announcement:

“Europe is home to some of the most creative developers in the world and we’re thrilled to be helping the next generation of entrepreneurs in Italy get the skills they need for success. The phenomenal success of the App Store is one of the driving forces behind the more than 1.4 million jobs Apple has created in Europe and presents unlimited opportunities for people of all ages and businesses of all sizes across the continent.”

It’s boasted that Apple’s ecosystem now supports more than 1.4 million jobs and the company wishes to tap into the vibrant developer community in Italy. This new center will enable young enthusiasts to receive training they require to really push forward and start experimenting with ideas to create the next big hit. It’s not known when the Naples-based center will open, but the company will be rolling out similar places of learning across Europe.
