Developer SuperMegaUltraGroovy has released an update to its Capo apps, for Mac, as well as for iPhone and iPad. With this major release, both Capo and Capo touch make it easier to analyze and learn music that you love. Capo touch has also added new features for iOS 9.

The primary addition in both apps is Isolation. Powered by Capo’s new audio isolation image, the feature can isolate a single part of a song, eliminating the other components to let you focus on a specific aspect. Isolation works for guitars, bass, vocals, and more. One you activate Isolation from the In-Song Settings, you can select exactly which sound you’re looking for, tweaking the frequency from there to bring out the particular piece you need.

Other additions have been made to Capo touch. The app now ships with the same new guitar samples as its desktop brother, meant to provide a better overall experience for auditioning chords. The app also now takes advantage of Split View and Slide Over multitasking on compatible iPads, and has also gained support for the iPad Pro.

You can find Capo 3.4 on the Mac App Store, while Capo touch 2.3 is now available on the iOS App Store.
