Battlevoid: Sector Siege, the latest in Bugbyte’s popular sci-fi series, has been announced. The new title, which has been built in a brand new engine, was detailed in the official forums on Monday.
Battlevoid: Sector Siege is a real-time strategy game set in space. You play as a human commander controlling a crew of scientists, pilots, engineers, and marines to battle against various alien races (Bugbyte says these will include the races from the previous game, Harbinger, and a new race called “Guardians”).
You can build and upgrade ships, research new technologies, capture resources and, of course, take part in space battles, in both a campaign and a skirmish mode.

If you’re a fan of outer-space shipbuilding and permadeath in the likes of Faster Than Light and Out There, it looks like this could be for you.
Battlevoid: Sector Siege is coming to Android and PC “sometime after this summer.” The game’s predecessor, Battlevoid: Harbinger is also currently on sale for $0.99 — check it out at the Play Store via the link below.
