Most of the users that this pilot fish supports are comfortable with technology — but there’s one notable exception.
“My personal albatross,” grumbles fish. “Al means well, but he’s a bit of a birdbrain when it comes to anything technical, and I’ve learned to dread his questions.
“One day he showed up at my desk with a problem: No one in his section could open the documents Al put in their shared folder.
“I dutifully followed him back to his desk. Navigate to your shared folder and I’ll take a look, I told him.
“Al opened the folder, and I stared in amazement at his files.
“‘Al,’ I said, ‘No one can open shortcuts from your desktop. You have to copy the actual files.'”
