Every day online and — until not too long ago — every week in print, Shark Tank has offered beleaguered IT pros a safe haven where they can commiserate and console one another as they laugh, cry and rant about the exploits of hapless bosses and clueless users.

It’s all presided over by an impresario known only as Sharky, who recently took a break from poring over readers’ emails to share true tales of how Shark Tank came to be and why it has remained so popular for so many years.
