Remember the LG Rolling Bot from the LG G5 announcement? It was one of the cooler – but not exactly readily available – LG Friends. At the time, LG was hush-hush about its price and release date, but that time has now arrived. The LG Rolling Bot price in the U.S. is $246.99 and in the UK it’ll set you back £229.00.

The headless BB-8 is available for pre-order now through MobileFun (buy links below) with a shipping date next month. It allows you to monitor your home security from ground level, terrorize your pets by shooting lasers into their eyes and play music from anywhere via the expandable microSD storage. The whole thing is controllable with an app for Android and iOS.
The LG Rolling Bot is not cheap by any standards, but when we had a chance to play with it in Barcelona a few months back it was certainly a lot of fun. Maybe not 250 bucks worth of fun, but fun nonetheless. But when all is said and done, $250 to entertain/torment your pets while you’re away is a small price to pay.
