Federal regulators looking into foot-dragging by smartphone makers and carriers. The Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Trade Commission are investigating accusations of long delays to over-the-air updates, even when critical security vulnerabilities need patching.
And it’s about time that something was done about this fiasco. Even Apple is being questioned.
