The dust has settled on the Tesla Model 3’s launch event: Pre-orders are approaching 300,000, filling Elon Musk’s war-chest with hundreds of millions of dollars. But although the electric car’s reviews are extremely positive, some are pondering a naked emperor.
Despite what you could call the highest value crowdfunding campaign in history, it’s not going to be plain sailing between now and the release date. And when will that date be? Musk says late 2017 on the west coast, but his previous record of keeping to schedules isn’t all that.
